Police reports

June 28 — Officers Jeremy Manning, Jason Easley and Erik Nygaard assisted Sedgwick County sheriff by trying to locate a suspect in a disturbance call at 500 E. Second.  

June 28 — Officers Jeremy Manning, Jason Easley and Erik Nygaard conducted follow-up at the old city shop, 531 W. Second, when a citizen said an SUV was doing donuts in the parking lot. The vehicle was found at a residence across the street, and the driver was warned about being on private property.

June 28 — Officers Jeremy Manning, Jason Easley and Erik Nygaard responded to a shots-fired report at 9600 W. 82nd Circle North. The calling party said a woman shot at him with a .22-caliber rifle. A report was filed with Sedgwick County sheriff. The suspect was not found.

June 28 — Officers Jeremy Manning, Jason Easley and Erik Nygaard assisted Park City police with locating a male subject in the 7100 block of North I-35 about a disturbance at the Sleep Inn. Officers found the suspect walking on the highway and took him back to the scene of the incident. The woman who reported the disturbance was transported to St. Joe for a mental evaluation.

June 28 — Officers Jeremy Manning, Jason Easley and Erik Nygaard were dispatched to assist EMS at 1240 E. Ford, No. 211. They were disregarded upon arrival.

June 27 — Officer Shannon Meyer responded to a general alarm at 743 S. Eastridge. Officer checked the house and found all doors and windows were secure. There was no movement inside, and the alarm was deemed false.

June 27 — Officer Eric Leeker stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at Fifth and Meeds. Officer arrested Devon Turley on charges of driving with a suspended license, not having an interlock device and failure to provide proof of insurance. While being booked at Sedgwick County jail, Turley was also arrested on a Sedgwick County warrant.

June 27 — Officer Matt Trelow responded to attempted larceny at 401 N. Dexter. The reporting party saw an individual trying to enter his cargo trailer parked in his driveway. The suspect got into an unknown vehicle and headed north. Officer saw two individuals who matched the description walking south at the Methodist Church. Both men ran from the officer and appeared to run south on Park. Officer was unable to locate the suspects.

June 27 — Officer Matt Trelow checked a business a 505 W. Clay. All doors were secure.

June 26 — Officer Shannon Meyer responded to 802 W. Quail where a juvenile heard knocking on her front door. Thinking it was an ex-boyfriend, the juvenile called her mother who then called police. Officer determined that neighbors had been knocking on the door.

June 26 — Officer Shannon Meyer took a report of a trailer stolen during the night from 936 W. 61st North. The information was submitted to NCIC.

June 26 — Officers Eric Leeker, Allen Adams and Matt Trelow and Sgt. Thomas Delgado responded to criminal damage to property at 2134 W. 69th North. The reporting party awoke and found several people in her above-ground swimming pool. She told them to leave, which they did, but a known man returned with a knife and cut a large hole in the pool. While officers were on the scene, the man returned. Officers  arrested Wayne Allen Moler for a Wichita warrant and for criminal damage to property.

June 26 — Sgt. Thomas Delgado stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 9500 block of North Meridian. He arrested the driver, Trenton Alan Weatherington, on charges of DUI and minor in possession. The passenger was cited for minor in consumption and released to her parent.

June 26 — Officer Matt Trelow responded to a general alarm at the sports complex, 300 E. Seventh. The alarm was false.

June 26 — Officer Matt Trelow took a report from 312 W. Main of a camper trailer in storage having had a window knocked out. Officer spoke with the owner who had already been notified of the broken window. The owner did not want police to investigate.

June 25 — Officers Shannon Meyer and Allen Adams spoke with a woman at the station who reported receiving a call from the IRS about turning over a large sum of cash to them. After talking with officers, the woman decided to wait and see if anything else happened.

June 25 — Officer Eric Leeker responded to a general alarm at Wholesale Fireworks, 69th North and Meridian. After determining the building was secure, he called the key holder who said he would not be coming out to check the building.  

June 25 — Officer Eric Leeker responded to 425 N. Park where a citizen discovered he had received a counterfeit $20 bill in Wichita. The bill was a washed $1 bill. Officer seized the bill and submitted it into evidence.  

June 25 — Officer Eric Leeker and Sgt. Thomas Delgado responded to vandalism at 200 S. Meridian. The reporting party said teenagers in an SUV were driving around hitting signs with sticks. Officers found the teenagers and discovered they were hitting branches while driving down the road.

June 25 — Sgt. Thomas Delgado and Officer Eric Leeker conducted traffic enforcement in the construction zone in the 100 to 800 blocks of South Meridian. They issued multiple citations for speeding.

June 25 — Officer Matt Trelow conducted a foot patrol at the Brookfield Apartments, 1240 E. Ford. He saw a van parked behind the east building, but it was OK. There was no illegal activity seen.

June 25 — Officer Matt Trelow checked the Valley Center schools district office at 143 S. Meridian. All doors were secure, and no damage was seen.

June 24 — Officers Jason Easley and Eric Leeker and Sgt. Thomas Delgado assisted Park City police with a welfare check in the 8800 block of North I-135. A person riding in a cab thought the driver was taking her home the wrong way. Officers spoke with both parties and determined the cab driver was taking her home via the quickest route.

June 24 — Officers Eric Leeker and J.C. Kirk and Sgt. Thomas Delgado responded to domestic violence at 596 W. First. The reporting party said a male was drinking and breaking things in the house. The man did not appear to be intoxicated and claimed to have had only three beers. He did break his own cellphone because he was mad the woman had disconnected its service. Officers counseled the couple of how to deal with their issues.

June 24 — Officer Eric Leeker and Sgt. Thomas Delgado assisted Park City police with a disturbance at 6401 N. West Parkview because all Park City officers were busy. Officers  determined it was a custody issue and not a police matter.

June 24 — Officer J.C. Kirk stopped to assist a motorist with an overheated engine at 1200 E. 85th North. The motorist said she had help on the way.

June 23 — Officers Michael Gordon and Ryan Mumma assisted EMS at 510 W. Albert.

June 23 — Officer Jason Easley took a theft report at the station. A woman reported three items stolen from her residence for a loss of $12,700.

June 23 — Officer Jason Easley assisted EMS at 460 Fiddlers Creek.

June 23 — Officer Jason Easley checked for a suspicious person at 121 Southwind. The reporting party thought he saw a flashlight and heard a noise on Breeze Court. Officer discovered the noise occurred when two people dropped the tailgate on their truck. The light was from a cellphone.

June 22 — Officer J.C. Kirk assisted EMS at 460 N. Emporia. The patient was transported to a hospital.

June 22 — Officer J.C. Kirk assisted Park City police with juvenile calls at 1318 E. Beaumont and at Ashford and Hartford.

June 22 — Officer J.C. Kirk moved a cone back into place in the construction zone at 100 S. Meridian.

June 28 — 1240 E. Ford, No. 211, difficulty breathing.

June 28 — Industrial and Meridian, unknown substance spill.

June 27 — 117th North and West, unknown fire.

June 27 — 9301 N. Osage, permit.

June 27 — 109 E. Fourth, heart attack.

June 27 — 701 S. Meridian, gas leak outside.

June 26 — 910 S. Meridian, permit.

June 25 — 9700 N. 103rd West, grass fire.

June 25 — 118 N. Cedar, permit.

June 24 — 6205 E. Rambling Rose, system alarm.

June 24 — 329 N. Ash, chest pains.

June 23 — 460 N. Fiddlers Creek, seizure.

June 23 — 6227 N. Sullivan, permit.

June 23 — 106 N. Emporia, gas out.

June 23 — 510 W. Albert, fall.

June 23 — 460 N. Emporia, No. 113, abdominal pain.
