Blotter Buzz Last Updated: June 25, 2015 June 19 — Valley Center Officer Shannon Meyer assisted Sedgwick County sheriff at 85th North and Ridge Road with an elderly female attempting to hitchhike. She was finally persuaded to return home and try to call for a ride so she wouldn't overheat, get hit by a car or get lost. Officers responded to the same area twice for the same person. June 17 — Valley Center Officers Michael Gordon, Shannon Meyer and Allen Adams responded to 1110 N. Parkway for a burglary in progress. It was someone spraying where workers were going to dig around power lines and utility lines. June 15 — Valley Center Officer Michael Gordon responded to Clay and Ash on a report of a suspicious people with painted faces standing around. Nobody was located. June 15 — Valley Center Officers Jason Easley and Jeremy Manning responded to 308 N. Burns for an animal call. A female cat was giving birth to kittens on the porch, and the resident doesn't own them. Officer notified animal control. |
