HARRIET EDMONDSON Last Updated: June 04, 2015 Harriet Neoma Edmondson, 94, of Eureka, died May 29, 2015. She was born March 6, 1921, in Atchison to Philip and Susie (Eberly) Riedesel. She was raised in Nevada, Mo. Just before graduation, the family moved to Sentinel, Mo. She married Ray Olen Edmonson Aug. 26, 1941, in Buffalo, Mo. They lived in the Sentinel area until World War II, when they moved to Kansas City, Mo. They later moved to Augusta before building a home in Wichita. In the early 1960s, they purchased a farm near Eureka, where they both resided until his death 1999. Survivors include daughters Sue Phares of Wichita and Margery Ramsey of Valley Center; son Garry Edmondson of Eureka; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother Dean Riedesel of Perry. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings Jack, Gertrude, Maxine, June and Katherine. Memorial service was June 1 at Greenwood Cemetery, Eureka. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Friendship Meals. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 595, Eureka KS 67045, which was in charge of service arrangements. |
