Sarah C. Draget of Park City was confirmed May 9 as graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Communications Magna Cum Laude from Kansas Wesleyan University.

Founded in 1886. Kansas Wesleyan is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and accepts students of all faiths. KWU provides a rigorous academic liberal arts education in its undergraduate and pre-professional majors and its MBA degree.

The following area students were named to the Dean's List for the spring 2015 semester at Bethany College in Lindsborg: Nicholas Connell, Bel Aire; Taylor Langlois, Valley Center; and Prestyn Atherton and Angel Martinez, Wichita. To qualify for this list, students must be enrolled full time and earn a 3.5 semester grade point average.

Bethany College, established by Swedish Lutheran immigrants in 1881, is a college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Erin Coulter of Wichita participated in commencement exercises May 16 at Benedictine College in Atchison. Coulter earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Founded in 1858, Benedictine College is a Catholic, Benedictine, residential, liberal arts college located on the bluffs above the Missouri River in Atchison.

Shelby Marten of Wichita was among more than 80 first-year students inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma honor society at Emporia State University.

Phi Eta Sigma is the national scholastic honor society for students with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. It is the greatest scholastic distinction a first-year student can attain.

Anna Raab, a freshman creative writing major from Wichita, was among approximately 480 students at Bob Jones University named to the spring 2015 President's List. The list recognizes students who earn a grade point average of 3.75 or higher.

Located in Greenville, S.C., Bob Jones University is a biblically faithful, Christian liberal arts university focused on educating the whole person to reflect and serve Christ.

Jay Monahan of Wichita was named to the Grand View University Dean's List for the spring 2015 semester. To make this list, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale while carrying at least 12 hours of classes.

Located in Des Moines, Iowa, Grand View is an independent, liberal arts college affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
