Gang-like graffiti painted on vehicles By Chris Strunk Last Updated: May 21, 2015 Valley Center police are investigating gang-like graffiti discovered last week. Officers responded to reports of vandalism May 14 in the new Ridgefield subdivision on North Redbud. Four vehicles had been tagged with spay paint. Three of the vehicles had the word "FOLK" written on them. Folk is an alliance of street gangs originating from the Chicago area. On the hood of one of the vehicles, vandals spray-painted a picture of a hand with the middle finger pointed up. Police Sgt. Lloyd Newman said two suspects, both juveniles, have been identified and the case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's Office for possible charges. Newman said the two suspects have no affiliation with a gang, neither do the victims. |
