MILDRED WARNER

Mildred (Mills) Warner, 102, formerly of Valley Center, died May 9, 2015.

She was born Sept. 11, 1912, in Wellington. She was a homemaker and a businesswoman with Warner Co. Inc.  She and her husband and sons were very active in the Wichita Home Builders Association and built many homes and duplexes in Valley Center. She was a former president of the National Homebuilders Association Auxiliary.  

She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Fanny (Broddle) Mills; sisters Carmen, Ima, Pauline, Fannibel "Bella," and Marjorie; her husband of 66 years Harold Lamar Warner and infant son Joe.  

Survivors include her children Thomas (Esther) Mills Warner, Carmen M. Anderson and Harold (Cheryl) L. Warner Jr.; grandchildren Denise Warner (Ken Terzian), Thomas (Brenda) M. Warner Jr., Carol Haltom (Brian Ware), Donald (Marcia Ann) Keith Anderson II, Susan (Byron) Schrag, Carolyn Watkins, Jennifer (Boris) Kavlakov, and Michael (Tracy) Warner; great-grandchildren Polly Terzian, Trey Warner, Dylan Warner, Emily Haltom, Ashley Haltom, Jack Haltom, Erika Barr, Logan Schrag, Kaleigh Schrag, Hope Watkins, Daniel Watkins, William Watkins, Taylor Watkins, Victoria Watkins, Madison Watkins, Josie Kavlakov, Naya Kavlakov, Hayden Warner and Riley Warner; great-great-grandchildren Madison Anderson, Noah Casad, Gage Casad and Bella Casad.  

A memorial celebration will be at 4 p.m. May 22 at the Chapel of Via Christi Ridge Plaza, 3636 N. Ridge Road. Memorial contributions to Greenwood Preservation Society, 301 N. Main, Eureka KS 67045. Culbertson-Smith Mortuary of Wichita has charge.
