Vocal music students recognized at final concert

The Valley Center High School vocal music department had its final concert of the year May 4.

Several students were given end-of-year recognition.

The madrigals were recognized for receiving a I rating at contests.

Olivia Logan and Chloe McGee were recognized for their II rating at regionals.

Ashlyn Reece was recognized for a I rating at regionals and a II at state.

Wesley Crow was awarded the Mr. D Scholarship and the Norma Daniels Scholarship. Crow also received a music scholarship at Kansas State University.

Brooklyn Bosch was awarded the Miss Bevie Scholarship.

Devin Duerksen, Ryan McCalla, Bosch, Brittney Jo Curry and Kaylee Love were recognized for receiving full books and tuition scholarships to Butler Community College for vocal music and drama.

Four-year letterwinners were Bosch, Mitchell Eberspacher, Love, Taylor Maule, Tionna Plakinton, Kellsie Talbot, Evan Balthazor, Crow, Makayla Culver, Curry, Isaiah Hopper, Dylan Scheer, Laramie Unruh and Cassady Adkins.
