Two motorists ran into trouble around Ford and Ramsey in Valley Center last week.

On April 14, police were called to the 100 block of East Ford where a vehicle reportedly drove off the road and into a deep ditch.

Initially, Sgt. Thomas Delgado had trouble finding the vehicle because only its roof was visible from the street.

The vehicle was pulled from the ditch and released to its owner.

On April 17, a FedEx truck tried to turn right from Ramsey onto Ford and got its back wheels stuck in the ditch. The truck was trying to reach Continental Timber in the 100 block of South Cedar but got turned around because of the road construction and detours, Det. Jay Grayson said.

The truck knocked over a stop sign. Ford and Meridian was shut down for about three hours. No one was hurt. The driver was not ticketed.
