MARGARET KAEGI Last Updated: April 16, 2015 Margaret Nan Kaegi, 83, of Derby, died April 4, 2015. She was retired from Boeing after 23 years of service. She also had worked as the executive secretary of the McPherson Chamber of Commerce from 1970-1978. She was born April 11, 1931, to Luster and Mildred (Tarpley) Gentry in Slaton, Texas. She was a Master Gardener, licensed pilot and certified scuba diver. She co-founded the Hortadors for the John C. Pair Horticultural Research Center. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson K.C. Haywood. Survivors include her husband of 64 years Gial F. Kaegi of Derby; children Gail Haywood-Tucker (Greg) of Wichita, Grant W. Kaegi (Tami) of Lenexa and Chris Kaegi-Stephens (Bill) of Valley Center; grandchildren Megan E. Leiker (Patrick) of Leawood, John G. Kaegi (Amanda) of Hesston and Rachel A. Kaegi (Daniel Green) of Prairie Village; and great-grandchildren Edison and Charlotte Leiker. Memorial service was April 15 at Botanica. Memorials to the John C.
