VCHS Alumni Banquet set for June 6
By Ron Black
Last Updated: March 12, 2015

The first Saturday of June is fast approaching, and planning for the Valley Center High School Alumni Banquet is getting in gear.

The committee is encouraging all alumni to spread the word to reach everybody we can. Postcards are no longer sent as there were too many out-of-date addresses and the cost was high.

Reservations are to be sent to Dean Frankenbery at 6210 N. Legion, Wichita, KS 67204 before June 1, 2015.  Cost is again $15. (Please put your class graduating year on your check.) Reservations are necessary so we can get a head count on meals to be ordered.

This year's 50th-year Honor Class is 1965, and the 25th-year class of 1990 will be recognized as well.

A high priority right now is to contact those who are in touch with their classmates (class coordinator?) or anyone who can help us with email addresses.

Please call Mary Lou Rivers at 755-1314 or email her at marylourivers67204Wgmail.com, or by mail at 6027 N. Meridian, Wichita, KS 67204.

Email and social media will be used if at all possible to communicate with classmates about the banquet. Those with emails and social media can, hopefully, help us spread the word to those who do not have those contact methods.

Volunteers for the activities at the banquet can contact Mary Lou or me (ronblack.link@att.net) at 755-3351.

If you get a voicemail, please do leave a message so we know it isn't just a "marketing" call.

Put it on your calendar: VCHS Annual Alumni Banquet, June 6, 2015, registration 5 p.m., dinner at 6 at the new high school building commons room, 93rd and North Meridian.

See you there!
