Kenneth E. Sherman, 88, of Bel Aire, died Feb. 25, 2015, at his home in Bel Aire.

He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II. He graduated from College of Emporia and then received his master's degree at Michigan State University. He began his teaching career at Belpre, and then taught and coached in Wichita for 30 years at East High and Brooks Middle School.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Twyla Sherman; children Linnel Sherman, David (Wendy) Sherman and Tami (Scott) Kincaid; brothers Ed and Elmer Sherman; grandchildren Shawn Sherman, Jeremiah, Hayley, Amber Sherman, Trisha and Austin (Sarah) Kincaid, Kari (Martin) Miller, Taylor, Ashley, Grace and Elizabeth Sherman, Weston, Karli and Jovie Wilkins, Ty and Zoey Kincaid and Bennett Miller.

Services were Feb. 28 at Lakeview Funeral Home, with burial at Lakeview Cemetery, both in Wichita. Memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project, 7400 College Blvd., Suite 350, Overland Park KS 66210.
