Feb. 15 — Officer Edwyn Diaz faxed a copy of a Park City warrant for Ildefonso Avalos-Ibarra who was arrested by Harvey County sheriff.  

Feb. 15 — Officer Dale Coffman assisted a motorist in the 5400 block of North Broadway until help arrived.

Feb. 15 — Officer Dale Coffman was dispatched to a rolling disturbance between two vehicles headed south near 61st North and Broadway. He was disregarded by dispatch when the vehicles' last known location was at 13th North and Amidon.

Feb. 15 — Officer Levi Herring responded to the 6500 block of North Jacksonville where he spoke with a man about him not getting some medication for his son from the mother during a custody exchange.

Feb. 15 — Officer Dale Coffman responded to a loud music complaint in the 1200 block of East Broadbeck. He spoke with the homeowner and the complainant.

Feb. 15 — Officer Levi Herring checked on an abandoned vehicle at 53rd North and Chuzy Drive. He placed a tow sticker on the vehicle.

Feb. 15 — Officer Levi Herring provided a subpoena for a family in the 6300 block of North Tarrytown.

Feb. 15 — Officers Levi Herring and Dale Coffman searched a vehicle after the driver gave consent during a traffic stop in the 6200 block of North Jacksonville.

Feb. 15 — Officer Levi Herring stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 7000 block of North I-135. The officer searched the vehicle after detecting the odor of marijuana.

Feb. 15 — Sgt. Keith Goodall responded to the 3900 block of East 69th North to assist Sedgwick County sheriff with an unknown call for police. They discovered a deceased male in the ditch.

Feb. 15 — Officer Duane Schrag followed up on a call in the 6400 block of North East Parkview. He took a report from the original calling party who said her ex-husband followed her into Wichita and had been harassing her via the telephone that evening. The case remains under investigation.

Feb. 15 — Officer Duane Schrag assisted a citizen who was locked out of her car at 6115 N. Air Cap Drive.

Feb. 15 — Officer Duane Schrag found a 14-year-old male juvenile walking in the 6200 block of North Broadway. Officer returned the male to his mother's home in Wichita and notified the father of a 13-year-old girl the male juvenile was headed to visit in Park City.

Feb. 15 — Sgt. Trent Johnson assisted EMS in the 1700 block of Cedar Tree. The patient was having difficulty breathing and was transported to Galicia Hospital by EMS.

Feb. 14 — Officer Richard Wolff delivered a subpoena in the 1200 block of East Charleston.

Feb. 14 — Officers Edwyn Diaz and Richard Wolff responded to the 600 block of East Rolling View Drive for a possible disturbance. Dispatch had received a 911 call from a cellphone and heard two females yelling in the background. Officers spoke with residents at the house and were told everything was fine and they did not know anyone by the name given. Officers also checked another location on Rolling View Drive that has had domestic violence issues in the past but everything was OK there as well. Officers were unable to locate the calling party.

Feb. 14 — Officer Dale Coffman assisted a motorist at 53rd North and Chuzy Drive.

Feb. 14 — Officer Dale Coffman responded to a business alarm in the 6200 block of North Broadway. The building was secure, and the alarm deemed false.

Feb. 14 — Officer Levi Herring checked two subjects in the 5400 block of North Chuzy Drive who were in a vehicle that was having problems.

Feb. 14 — Officer Levi Herring assisted EMS in the 1600 block of East Gary.

Feb. 14 — Officer Duane Schrag assisted Valley Center police with a burglary in-progress in the 700 block of North Meridian. They did not see any suspects or any evidence of a crime.

Feb. 14 — Officer Duane Schrag collected and submitted evidence for a case.

Feb. 14 — Officers Duane Schrag and Christopher Shields responded to a non-injury, hit-and-run accident in the 900 block of East 61st North. The suspect was located in Valley Center and cited for leaving the scene of an accident and not having current insurance.

Feb. 13 — Officer Edwyn Diaz took a report in the 1400 block of East Frontenac of a lost vision card, Social Security card, military dependent ID car and Pay Pal card, possibly Feb. 11 in Emporia.

Feb. 13 — Officer Chuck Trimmell took a report of a non-injury accident in the 6100 block of North Hattan.

Feb. 13 — Officer Chuck Trimmell assisted a motorist in the 1300 block of East 61st North by waiting until someone responded to repair a tire.

Feb. 13 — Officer Edwyn Diaz responded to the Kansas Pavilion, 1200 E. 85th North, for a report from management of traffic backed up to I-135. The officer found no traffic issues.

Feb. 13 — Officer Brandon Green stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 6100 block of North Broadway. He arrested Jorge Fletes-Ramirez on warrants from Wichita and Newton.

Feb. 13 — Officers Dale Coffman and Levi Herring monitored traffic in and around a school zone in the 6100 block of North Independence.

Feb. 13 — Officer Dale Coffman assisted EMS and fire in the 2600 block of Cambridge. EMS transported a 76-year-old man to Wesley Hospital.

Feb. 13 — Officers Dale Coffman, Brandon Green and Levi Herring responded to a report of attempted suicide by cutting by a juvenile at 501 E. 63rd North. The reports were received by Facebook, but officers did not locate the subject.

Feb. 13 — Officer Levi Herring was contacted by a person with Via Christi who had questions regarding child sex crimes. Officer told the woman to contact Wichita police since the alleged crime occurred in Wichita.

Feb. 13 — Officers Levi Herring and Dale Coffman responded to the 1200 block of East 85th North for a person having medical problems. They were unable to locate the person.

Feb. 13 — Officers Levi Herring and Brandon Green stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 8000 block of North I-135. Officers issued a Uniform Criminal Complaint after detecting the odor of marijuana.

Feb. 13 — Officer Dale Coffman responded to a non-injury accident at 69th North and Broadway.

Feb. 13 — Officer Dustin Belton followed-up at the Super 8 Motel, 6075 N. Air Cap Drive, regarding a call. He located a juvenile who was fine.

Feb. 13 — Officers Dustin Belton and Christopher Shields stopped a subject walking north in the 5400 block of North Broadway. The subject was later given a ride to Newton.

Feb. 13 — Officer Christopher Shields and Dustin Belton responded to an injury accident in the 4700 block of North I-135. One driver was transported to Wesley Medical Center with minor injuries, and his vehicle was towed by North End.

Feb. 12 — Officer Edwyn Diaz took a report of a two-vehicle, non-injury accident in the 2400 block of East Fairchild. Damage was estimated at less than $1,000. Drivers exchanged information and left the scene.

Feb. 12 — Officer Chuck Trimmell took a report of a two-vehicle, injury accident that occurred Feb. 11 in the 6000 block of North Hartford at the intersection with Cloverdale.

Feb. 12 — Officer Dale Coffman contacted a citizen at the station to obtain a witness report and deliver an exchange form.

Feb. 12 — Officer Brandon Green took a report of a two-vehicle, non-injury accident with minor damage in the 5300 block of North Broadway.

Feb. 12 — Officer Dale Coffman found a set of Ford keys, along with other miscellaneous keys, in the street at 53rd North and Broadway.

Feb. 12 — Officers Dale Coffman and Brandon Green responded to a residential alarm in the 2600 block of Burlington. The alarm was false.

Feb. 12 — Officers Dale Coffman, Brandon Green and Levi Herring and Sgt. Keith Goodall monitor traffic around Chisholm Trail Elementary school at 6115 N. Independence.

Feb. 12 — Officer Levi Herring assisted a juvenile with a flat tire on a bicycle in the 6200 block of North East Parkview.

Feb. 12 — Officer Levi Herring assisted a motorist with a flat tire in the 8800 block of North I-135.

Feb. 12 — Officer Christopher Shields responded to a report of disorderly conduct in the 1200 block of East Broadbeck. The calling party said their neighbor was playing their music too loud. Officer drove around the area but did not hear any loud music.

Feb. 12 — Officer Dustin Belton checked a business in the 400 block of East 61st North.

Feb. 11 — Officers Richard Wolff and Dustin Belton responded to the 5000 block of North Irving to check the welfare of the caller who reported being 7 years old and home alone. Officers did not find anyone at the house, and neighbors told them the family had left just prior to their arrival.

Feb. 11 — Officer Richard Wolff and Lt. Hobert Capps assisted the Heights High School resource officer with a truant in the 6400 block of North East Parkview. The SRO transported the student to school.

Feb. 11 — Officer Richard Wolff responded to vandalism in the 6300 block of North East Parkview. Reporting party said someone threw large stones through the front windows of his rental property at this location. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.

Feb. 11 — Officer Richard Wolff assisted a motorist in the 1400 block of East 61st North with an inoperable vehicle.

Feb. 11 — Officer Richard Wolff followed-up in the 200 block of East 53rd North on a welfare check from earlier in the day by contacting the father of the caller. The father said his wife had left the house for a couple of minutes to drop him off at work and returned home. The child was playing on the phone, and everything was OK.

Feb. 11 — Lt. Hobert Capps found a wrecked and abandoned vehicle in the 5300 block of North Deere. Newton police contacted the vehicle's owner, who was aware of its location. Capps attached a 48-hour impound notice to the vehicle's rear window.

Feb. 11 — Officer Dale Coffman took a report of a citizen in the 5800 block of North Kerman Court receiving an unwanted and irritating Facebook message from a known person.

Feb. 11 — Officer Dale Coffman and Sgt. Keith Goodall responded to a hold-up alarm at Wendy's, 930 Connolly Court. The alarm was false.

Feb. 11 — Officer Brandon Green took a disorderly conduct report from 501 E. 63rd North. A man reported that another man was using profane language and upsetting him. Officer was unable to contact the alleged suspect.

Feb. 11 — Officer Duane Schrag assisted Sedgwick County sheriff with a traffic stop in the 8700 block of North I-135.  

Feb. 11 — Officers Dustin Belton and Christopher Shields responded an alarm going off in the 6200 block of North Broadway. Officers found the alarm at a business, but could not locate an employee, a key holder or an owner. The alarm was left on.

Feb. 10 — Officer Richard Wolff and Lt. Hobert Capps responded to a non-injury accident in the 6000 block of North Broadway.

Feb. 10 — Officer Richard Wolff and Lt. Hobert Capps were flagged down by a citizen regarding a welfare check in the 1500 block of East Frontenac. After contacting the child and its parents, officer called Division of Children and Families who responded to their location. DCF took over the case. Officer determined no criminal action was warranted at this time.

Feb. 10 — Lt. Hobert Capps responded to 5-1 E. 63rd North for a report of a door-to-door salesperson requesting the subject go to an ATM and withdraw cash. Officer contacted the subject, who did not have an Itinerant Sales License. Officer instructed the subject to stop his activities or be arrested.

Feb. 10 — Officer Brandon Green released property to its owner that was listed as found property.

Feb. 10 — Sgt. Keith Goodall assisted Bel Aire police in the 6600 block of East Summerside Place with a suicidal person holding a knife to his throat. The male subject was subdued and transported for evaluation.

Feb. 10 — Officer Brandon Green and Sgt. Keith Goodall responded to a burglary in-progress in the 6300 block of North Ulysses. A person was at the residence doing bid work and all paperwork was in order.

Feb. 10 — Officer Brandon Green and Sgt. Keith Goodall responded to the 4700 block of North Steeds Crossing where a woman reported coming to the residence to retrieve some of her property after leaving her boyfriend. The boyfriend was not there, and she provided proof of residency. She was allowed to remove some of her belongings.

Feb. 10 — Sgt. Keith Goodall took a report from the 900 block of East Connolly Court where a woman said a person she met was texting her saying he was going to put her information out on Craigslist.

Feb. 10 — Officers Dustin Belton and Duane Schrag responded to assist EMS in the 1200 block of East Village Estates. The reporting party said his wife had been drinking alcohol and thought someone put something in her drink at a bar in Wichita. EMS did not find any signs of impairment besides large quantities of alcohol, and the patient refused treatment.

Feb. 10 — Officer Duane Schrag responded again to assist EMS in the 1200 block of East Village Estates. The female patient from the prior call had a friend come to her house. The friend called 911 and when the officer arrived with EMS, the friend tried to convince the patient to go to the hospital. The patient again refused treatment.  

Feb. 10 — Officer Duane Schrag responded to possible domestic violence at 4616 N. Hydraulic. The victim was uncooperative, and the investigation is pending.

Feb. 10 — Officers Dustin Belton and Duane Schrag responded to a general alarm in the 5100 block of North Broadway. They were disregarded prior to arrival.

Feb. 9 — Officer Richard Wolff checked a man walking in the 5800 block of North Hydraulic, The man said he had missed the bus going to Heights High School. The officer transported him to Heights.

Feb. 9 — Officers Edwyn Diaz and Richard Wolff were dispatched to a general burglary alarm at a business in the 5100 block of North Broadway. The alarm company disregarded them prior to their arrival. The alarm was deemed false.

Feb. 9 — Offices Edwyn Diaz and Richard Wolff checked the area near 501 E. 63rd North for a man and a woman reported fighting in a black vehicle with an unknown tag traveling south on Broadway. Officers checked the area and did not locate the suspect vehicle.

Feb. 9 — Officers Richard Wolff and Edwyn Diaz stood-by in the 2600 block of East Burlington while a man picked up his company truck and personal items. They advised the man if he needed any other property he needed to wait until the no-contact order was lifted.

Feb. 9 — Officers Richard Wolff and Edwyn Diaz responded to a burglary in-progress in the 6300 block of North Ulysses. Recent tenants had been evicted and people were seen at the residence taking items out. Upon arrival, no one was at the property. The people seen there were determined to have been a locksmith and a Sedgwick County sheriff's deputy changing the door locks.

Feb. 9 — Officers Richard Wolff and Edwyn Diaz responded to the Presto Travel Center, 6115 N. Air Cap Drive, to check the welfare of a female accompanied by an older man. They were reportedly staying in an RV on the back lot, and the clerk thought that was suspicious. Officers were unable to locate the RV.

Feb. 9 — Officers Richard Wolff and Edwyn Diaz and Bel Aire police responded to the Best Western, 915 E. 53rd North, to check a vehicle parked in the parking lot with two men inside, unknown what they were doing. Upon arrival, officers found the vehicle to be unoccupied. The vehicle's owner worked at the Best Western, and he advised everything was OK. The individuals in the vehicle were his friends.

Feb. 9 — Officers Richard Wolff and Edwyn Diaz again responded to the Presto Travel Center, 6115 N. Air Cap Drive, to check the welfare of the female traveling with a man. They spoke with the female subject who was found to be an adult and accompanied by her fiancι. She said they were traveling, and everything was OK.

Feb. 9 — Officer Levi Herring responded to the 6000 block of North Sullivan to assist Sedgwick County sheriff by contacting a subject regarding a stolen vehicle case. He was unable to locate the subject.  

Feb. 9 — Officer Levi Herring responded to the 6300 block of North Hydraulic for a found bike. A citizen reported finding the bike behind his shed.  

Feb. 9 — Officer Brandon Green responded to a suspicious person in the 1200 block of East Arlington. A man was reportedly seen approaching children and then running away from his vehicle. The vehicle was parked illegally, ticketed and stickered. The man returned and told the officer he was there to have someone sign a document. The officer started a case file for documentation of the incidents.

Feb. 9 — Officers Brandon Green and Levi Herring responded to the 2500 block of East Evanston where a woman reported her daughter was angry and hit her.

Feb. 9 — Officer Levi Herring responded to the 6300 block of North West Parkview to check on two children. Two juveniles told the officer a neighbor was watching them. The officer spoke with another person who said this is an ongoing problem with the juveniles' birth mother.

Feb. 9 — Officer Brandon Green responded to vandalism in the 1800 block of East Cedar Tree. Between 6 and 9 p.m., someone threw dirt clods on the driveway at this location. There was no damage.

Feb. 9 — Officer Brandon Green responded to a business alarm in the 6200 block of North Broadway. The alarm was deemed false.

Feb. 9 — Officers Levi Herring and Brandon Green stopped a vehicle in the 6600 block of North Hydraulic for a passenger seatbelt violation. Officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and issued a uniform criminal complaint for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Feb. 9 — Officer Duane Schrag assisted Sedgwick County sheriff with a traffic stop in the 8000 block of southbound North I-135. No arrests were made.

Feb. 8 — Officers Edwyn Diaz and Richard Wolff responded for a possible disturbance near 501 E. 63rd North. They located the source of the call and determined there was a medical issue. Patient refused EMS and self-transported to the hospital.

Feb. 8 — Officer Richard Wolff provided information to a citizen about a civil stand by.

Feb. 8 — Officer Edwyn Diaz responded to the 6700 block of North Tarrytown. The reporting party said someone had placed eggs on his vehicle and several vehicles in the neighborhood. The vehicles were cleaned off and no damage was seen.

Feb. 8 — Officers Richard Wolff and Edwyn Diaz and Sedgwick County sheriff assisted Sedgwick County fire in evacuating the Best Western, 915 E. 53rd North, and providing crowd control after one of the rooms caught fire. Damage to the room was significant.

Feb. 8 — Officers Edwyn Diaz and Richard Wolff assisted Kechi police with serving a protection from abuse order in the 6000 block of North East Parkview.

Feb. 8 — Officers Richard Wolff and Edwyn Diaz assisted a subject in retrieving personal belongings and items needed for his employment from a residence in the 2600 block of East Burlington.

Feb. 8 — Officer Edwyn Diaz followed-up with a subject in the 2200 block of East Charleston regarding a case.
