JANET CORDELL Last Updated: February 19, 2015 Janet Lee (Craig) Cordell, 80, died Feb. 10, 2015. She was a homemaker. She was born April 20, 1934, in Kechi to the late Byron and Martha Elaine (Burge) Craig. She married James Marcus Cordell June 8, 1955. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and stepfather, Elmer Gutschenritter, and brother, Byron Keith. Survivors include sons, Jeff (Lori) of Newton, Jaime (Yvonne) of Wichita, Jerry (Kelly) of Sedgwick and Jay (Kimber) of Maize; daughters, Sam (Mark) Mertes of Colwich, Joyce Cordell, JoLynn Cordell and Janel Cordell all of Wichita; brother, John Gutschenritter of Neodesha; 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass was Feb. 13 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Colwich. Wulf-Ast Mortuary of Colwich had charge. |
