HOWARD KNIGHT

Howard Marvin Knight, 94, of Wichita, died Feb. 15, 2015. He was a retired building contractor and farmer.

He was born in Wichita to Levi H. Knight and Mary Isabel (Eifert) Knight. He grew up in rural Valley Center and graduated from Valley Center High School.

He was preceded in death by his son Rex Warren Knight, sister Oleta Andrews and parents. Survivors include his wife Doris Knight; children Ruth (Wayne) Wettstein of Liberal, Gail (Dick) Goetz of Tyler, Texas, and James Knight of Wichita; grandchildren, Mike Sommerhauser, Ryan (Sabrina) Wettstein, Robyn Slate, Rhett Wettstein, Rustin (Ashley) Wettstein, Julie (Pat) O'Neal, Kathryn (Chris) Walton and Richard (Dallas) Goetz; 13 great-grandchildren; brother Ralph (Betty) Knight of Sacramento, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 19 with services at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 20, both at the Celebration Baptist Church, 7202 E. Ninth North in Wichita. Graveside will follow at the Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside. Memorials to Celebration Baptist Church, 7202 E. Ninth North, Wichita KS 67206. Baker Funeral Home of Valley Center has charge.
