Laura Louise Pavey, 99, died Feb. 2, 2015. She retired in 1974 as the assistant election commissioner for Sedgwick County.

She was born June 22, 1915, to George and Eva Manlove of Butler County. She graduated from Wichita East High School and married Jack Pavey in 1938. They operated a dry cleaning business in Wichita before she became a homemaker. She was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded by her husband, parents, sisters Velma (Manlove) Goddard and Laverne (Manlove) Stoops, and a brother Harold Manlove.

Survivors include her daughter Benae Burbank of Canon City, Colo., sons Fred (Sharon) Pavey of Wichita and Ed (Dana) Pavey of Valley Center, sister-in-law Nellie Manlove of Wichita, seven grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family present will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 5 with funeral service at 1 p.m. Feb. 6, both at Cochran Mortuary, 1411 N. Broadway. Burial will follow in Andover Cemetery. Memorials to the Salvation Army, 350 N. Market, Wichita KS 67202.
