Dr. Susan Dianne (Martinson) Duerksen, 62, of Wichita, died Jan. 27, 2015.

She was born in Wichita to Donald C. Martinson and Genevieve (Canfield) Martinson and graduated from Wichita North High School. She received degrees from the University of Kansas, Friends University and Wichita State University. She did her residency at Baptist Health Care in Oklahoma and KU Medical Center. She had practices at Wheatland Family Practice in Newton, Zia Family Medicine in Las Cruces, N.M., and the last several years at Locem Tenems in New Mexico, Oklahoma and Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her mother. Survivors include her father; daughter Gwendolyn Duerksen of Wichita; son Brian Duerksen of Lawrence; sister Donna (Penn) Hughes; brothers Jim Martinson (Jeff Haynes) and Dale (Tammy) Martinson, all of Wichita; and niece and nephews, Bailey Martinson, Devin Martinson and Greg Gietzen.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 7 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 402 N. Topeka, Wichita. Memorials to the Cat Hospital of Wichita, 6130 E. Central, Suite 100, Wichita KS 67208 or to the RiverCross Hospice, 251 S. Whittier, Wichita KS 67207. Baker Funeral Home of Valley Center has charge.
