Eloise Mildred (Morris) Henderson, 84, of Wichita, died Jan. 25, 2015.

She was born in Independence, Mo., to Harold G. and Marie (Baxter) Morris and graduated from Independence High School. She received bachelor's degrees in English and music from Central Methodist College in Fayette, Mo. She taught in Valley Center and Mulvane, along with Florida and Missouri. In 1972, she and her husband purchased Echo Hills Golf Club and operated it for 40 years until it closed in 2012.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marilyn Siegert. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Bert Henderson; children Doug Henderson (Donna Papangellin), Cheryl (Ron) Greiving, Julie Henderson and David (Rhonda) Henderson; grandchildren, Jessica, Laura, Alex, Andy, Cassie, Cristina, Kevin and Conri; great grandchildren, Maya and Colby; and brother H. Glenn Morris.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. March 7 at Eberly Farm, 13111 W. 21st North in Wichita. Memorials to Second Church of Christ, Scientist, 4201 E. Douglas, Wichita KS 67218.  Baker Funeral Home of Valley Center has charge.
