Former golf course north of Valley Last Updated: January 29, 2015 I had to laugh about a front page article. You stated Valley's first-ever golf course. Valley had a nine-hole golf course north of town (117th North and Meridian) on the southwest corner. Jester Creek was the north side. Only one of the fairways you needed a driver. We had people from Wichita out just to practice with irons. It was in use from the 1940s through 1960s. There is a home on the property now. — Jo Taylor, Valley Center |
