Police reports

Jan. 11 — Officer J.C. Kirk assisted Park City police at 1415 E. Prairie Hill Drive with a burglary in progress call. It was false. 

Jan. 11 — Officer J.C. Kirk checked area motels for suspects who took property from the Motel 6. Officers thought the suspects might try the same thing at another motel.

Jan. 11 — Officer J.C. Kirk checked the area of 400 Hickory for trespassers. All appeared to be OK.

Jan. 11 — Officer Matt Trelow assisted Park City police with a traffic stop at I-135 and 101st North. Officers could not get a truck with a trailer stopped. It was traveling 90 mph on the interstate. Officers were disregarded before arrival. 

Jan. 10 — Officer Matt Trelow responded to 641 W. 77th North, where and individual was confused and became violent.

Jan. 10 — Officer Matt Trelow responded to a report of domestic violence at 245 N. Sheridan. Officer was disregarded and the call came back to an address in Wichita.

Jan. 10 — Officer Matt Trelow responded to a general alarm at 8003 N. Broadway. Officers found that all gates to the business were locked. The alarm was false.

Jan. 10 — Sgt. Thomas Delgado and Officer Eric Leeker responded to a report of DUI at 5200 N. Meridian. The vehicle was last seen going south at Butler and Meridian. Delgado found the vehicle at 53rd and Meridian. The driver was found to be having medical problems. Officers stayed with a child until family came to get the child.

Jan. 10 — Sgt. Thomas Delgado and Officer Eric Leeker responded to a loud noise complaint at 327 N. Colby. The individual agreed to turn down the music.

Jan. 9 — Officer Matt Trelow responded to 400 N. Hickory to assist the fire department.

Jan. 9 — Officer Matt Trelow responded to 641 W. 77th North to check the welfare of an individual. Officers were called to assist a citizen into her residence.

Jan. 9 — Officer Eric Leeker responded to a report of horses in the road at 4412 E. 77th North. The horses where found in an unfenced field. Officer tried for about one hour to find the owner, but had no luck.

Jan. 8 — Officer Matt Trelow responded to check a white Buick that had its trunk open at 500 E. Main. Officer made contact with the owner and it was secured. 

Jan. 8 — Officer Matt Trelow assisted EMS at 400 S. Abilene. Call was disregarded by the fire department.

Jan. 8 — Sgt. Thomas Delgado and Officer Eric Leeker responded to a report of domestic violence at 300 E. Dover. Gregory Jackson was arrested on a charge of domestic battery against an adult male.

Jan. 8 — Sgt. Thomas Delgado and Officer Eric Leeker responded to 300 E. Dover. Daniel Banning was arrested on charges of rape, criminal sodomy and sexual battery.

Jan. 7 — Officers Jason Easley and Eric Leeker assisted a citizen with car trouble at 7700 N. Broadway. The vehicle was towed.

Jan. 7 — Officers Jason Easley and Eric Leeker went to 6225 N. Hillside about a citation. No contact was made with anyone at the residence. 

Jan. 7 — Officer Eric Leeker responded to a child locked in a vehicle at 600 Deerfield. A mother accidently locked her 3-month-old daughter in her car. Valley Center Fire Department was able to unlock the door. 

Jan. 7 — Officers Eric Leeker and J.C. Kirk responded to check on a warrant at 3250 N. Hood.

Jan. 7 — Officer J.C. Kirk responded to a garage door left open at 140 S. Colby. Officers were unable to make contact with homeowner. The residence was secured.

Jan. 7 — Officers J.C. Kirk and Virginia Crice assisted EMS at 106 N. Emporia.

Jan. 6 — Officer Michael Gordon responded to a suspicious person report at Fifth and Hickory Lane. Officer checked on a person who was sitting in a running vehicle. It was a utility meter reader.

Jan. 6 — Officer Michael Gordon responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle at 344 S. Meridian. Officer checked a vehicle that was parked behind the dumpsters. It belonged to a person who lived nearby and it wasn't stolen.

Jan. 6 — Officer Michael Gordon checked at business at 117 N. Park that had an alarm sounding. The alarm was false.

Jan. 6 — Sgt. Thomas Delgado and Officers Jason Easley and Shannon Meyer assisted EMS at the station, 616 E. Fifth. A woman wanted help with her mother who was having medical trouble. The woman said her mother had surgery and was unconscious in the back seat of her minivan. EMS transported her to the hospital.

Jan. 6 — Sgt. Thomas Delgado and Officers Jason Easley and Shannon Meyer responded to an incident at 1240 E. Ford.

Jan. 6 — Officer J.C. Kirk assisted the sheriff's office with a disturbance at 3400 W. 53rd North. It was over before Valley Center officers arrived but one of the people involved was leaving in a vehicle as we were arriving. The other person was already out of the area.

Jan. 6 — Officer J.C. Kirk assisted EMS at 1040 N. Meadow Road.

Jan. 5 — Officer Michael Gordon took a report at the station, 616 E. Fifth, of bullying that occurred at Valley Center Intermediate School.

Jan. 5 — Officer Michael Gordon responded to report of theft at 801 S. Meridian. Beer and over-the-counter medicine were taken by a known suspect. Officer was unable to locate the suspect by the end of his shift, but would try again the next day.

Jan. 5 — Officers Jason Easley and Shannon Meyer responded to check a residence at 845 N. Meadow. The door was left open and a large dog was inside.  Nothing was taken from the residence. Officers spoke with the homeowner who stated the door was not shut properly. The large dog protected the property.

Jan. 5 — Officer Jason Easley and Shannon Meyer responded to heavy school traffic at 700 N. Meridian and directed traffic to prevent an accident.

Jan. 5 — Officers Jason Easley and Shannon Meyer responded to K-96 and Ridge to assist the sheriff's office with a traffic stop. A second driver stopped a vehicle, turned its lights out and approached the traffic stop.

Jan. 5 — Officer J.C. Kirk assisted Park City police at 6509 N. Randall. An elderly woman was not getting along with her son and his girlfriend.

Jan. 5 — Officer J.C. Kirk assisted the fire department with a fire alarm at the Valley Center District Office, 143 S. Meridian. A fire sprinkler was running outside the front entrance.
