VCHS homecoming is ‘Under the Stars’

Valley Center High School is celebrating fall homecoming this week.

Activities will culminate with a king and queen ceremony during halftime of the Sept. 26 football game and a dance at the high school after the game.

Theme for homecoming is "Under the Stars."

Queen candidates are Brittany Davis, Taylor Maule and Kaylee Love. King candidates are Zach White, Dylan Scheer and Chris Bluml.

The high school marked spirit days this week — 'merica Monday, Twin Tuesday, Weird Wednesday, Throwback Thursday and Class Color Friday.

The football game will begin at 7 p.m. at the District Stadium.


Brittany Davis

Parents: Mike and Misty Davis

School activities: Cheerleading, basketball, track, Letterwomen's Club, Prom Committee, band, Friendship Club, SADD, debate.

Best thing about Valley Center High School is: "The many college credit opportunities that are offered here."

"Under the Stars," I like to: "Spend time with the people closest to me."

People will remember the Class of 2015, because: "We are a well-rounded group."


Kaylee Love

Parents: Ryan and Erin Love

School activities: Student council, Madrigals, SADD, National Honor Society, Prom Committee, volleyball, track, golf, powerlifting, Letterwomen's Club, football film manager, debate, Drama Club, musicals, Friendship Club.

Best thing about Valley Center High School is: "The feeling of family and togetherness."

"Under the Stars," I like to: "Dream of what the future holds for me."

People will remember the Class of 2015, because: "We're a well-rounded group that contributes to every activity we can."


Taylor Maule

Parents: Klaus and Traci Viljanmaa

School activities: Madrigas, SADD, Friendship Club, golf.

Best thing about Valley Center High School is: "School spirit."

"Under the Stars," I like to: "Curl up with a good book and cuddle."

People will remember the Class of 2015, because: "We stick together through the good and bad times."


Christopher Bluml

Parents: The late Roger and Melissa Bluml

School activities: Football, wrestling, baseball, Varsity Club, Choraleers.

Best thing about Valley Center High School is: "Our school spirit."

"Under the Stars," I like to: "Make plays on the football field."

People will remember the Class of 2015, because: "Of our heart and determination to be the best we can be."


Dylan Scheer

Parents: Brian Scheer, and Tom and Anne Cheney

School activities: Varsity Club, Link Crew, Spanish Club, Madrigals, student council, football, basketball, track, Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Best thing about Valley Center High School is: "The environment and the people that make it up. We also have the best school staff in the area."

"Under the Stars," I like to: "Get the most sleep possible."

People will remember the Class of 2015, because: "We have the best leadership, character and have the most fun. We also stick together and try to make everything about one big family."


Zachary White

Parents: Mike and Misty Davis

School activities: Football, basketball, track, student council, vice president of sophomore class, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Varsity Club, choir, debate.

Best thing about Valley Center High School is: "We have a lot of great people and great staff."

"Under the Stars," I like to: "Play dodge-rock with Kruck. It's where we throw rocks at each other in the dark and whoever gets hit first loses."

People will remember the Class of 2015, because: "We are overall a tight-knit group, and I feel like we have brought everyone in this school closer together."
